This interactive class is a great way to learn the basics and create a unique piece you’ll be proud to take home!


Class Details:

  • Duration: 3–4 hours

  • Age Requirement: 16+

  • Includes: All materials and safety equipment

  • Dress Code: Closed-toed shoes required

What You’ll Learn & Do

  • How to select and safely cut glass

  • Grinding and smoothing edges

  • Foiling (copper foil method)

  • Soldering techniques

  • Finishing touches and cleanup

  • (If time allows) optional decorative touches


About the Class Name: Fairy Slipper Island

This class is named after Fairy Slipper Island, a tiny, enchanting island on Murtle Lake in Wells Gray Provincial Park. The island is named for the delicate Calypso orchids—also known as Fairy Slippers—that bloom there, adding to its magical feel. It’s the perfect inspiration for a class focused on delicate, nature-inspired glass art!
